The first time I tried cannabis I opted for the infamous pot brownie. A good friend warned me about the effects of this product, so I only took a tiny crumb. All the same, the weed did not alter my senses, and I did not take some more to try and learn more about it. It occurred to me that maybe the brownie was not a pot brownie but a regular one or I was insusceptible to cannabis.
A few of months later, in an attempt to learn more about marijuana, I tried my second edible with the same thoughts in mind thinking that was It wouldn’t affect me. Everybody else would be high except me. In spite of my assumption this time the weed affected me.
To be honest, I was afraid of smoking and chose to use edibles claiming food was safer and healthier even though it is odd to consider brownies healthy given that their main ingredient is sugar. Several months later I was all about experimenting on edibles. Being high was an intriguing experience for me.
When I began dating my husband we shared an edible and were high together. I can distinctly remember the chocolate bar wrapping and how the chocolate bar tasted. The previous night we had each taken a small piece which had little effect thus I slept well. That afternoon we shared the leftover chocolate bar and then decided to explore nature.
We were stoned out of our minds, beyond what we had previously experienced. We were high for about fourteen hours. We felt like we were one with nature. After the nature walk we watched a Harry Potter Movie and ended up shedding tears when we learned more about how all the characters had been traumatized by some horrific experiences at a tender age of eleven years.
The experience was awesome and felt like it would never end, fourteen hours felt like fourteen days. Locked within our minds we felt separated but also connected, frightened but also excited and out of control but also oddly with a sense of control. The fourteen hours were like a lifetime.
That particular day will forever be in my mind. The day was among the last times we ate edibles. With time I started smoking and got used to it. I became fascinated by the culture of growing, storing and maintaining marijuana. People say that marijuana will last for a longer duration of time when stored properly. I say this product will last for a longer duration when consumed in a brownie.
